Partnerships & Opportunities

FRESH is opening the week of May 25th and will be screening in cities around the US in the next few months. FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Among several main characters, FRESH features urban farmer and activist, Will Allen, the recipient of MacArthur's 2008 Genius Award; sustainable farmer and entrepreneur, Joel Salatin, made famous by Michael Pollan's book, The Omnivore's Dilemma; and supermarket owner, David Ball, challenging our Wal-Mart dominated economy.

Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion with local representatives of the sustainable food movement. In Washington DC, on Tuesday May 26th, Katherine Ozer, the Executive Director of the NFFC will be joined by
  • Joel Salatin (Polyface Farm)
  • Will Allen (Growing Power)
  • Bernadine Pince (Freshfarm markets)
  • Cathal Armstrong (Restaurant Eve)
The panel will be moderated by Renee Catcalos, the editor in Chief of Edible Chesapeake.
